Sunset Valley is pleased to announce the
full line of Empire Builder heavyweights for your Aster S2. The first
car, prototype shown above, is the
8-1-2 Pullman sleeper, available from Oct 2008. The next car will be
the 12-1 sleeper, available Jan 2009, followed every 4 months by the
diner car, the baggage car , the tourist sleeper car and the enclosed
observation car. A typical consist in the 1940's would be Baggage,
Diner, Tourist, Tourist, 8-1-2, Diner, 12-1, 8-1-2, 8-1-2, 12-1,
Observation.
Every attention has been paid to make the cars
prototypically correct, and all details have been made from GN
drawings. The models are made to 1:32 scale in engineering grade
resin. They are built to run smoothly and have nylon bearings for low
friction. The prototype has been rigorously tested for resistance to
heat, moisture, U-V and rough handling. Price is $695.00 each. A
deposit of $100 per car is required. |

Sunset Valley has an exclusive arrangement
with Accucraft to produce a 40 ft GN box car in vermillion red. These
will be fine scale models made to the same specifications as their AAR
boxcars, with full detail and working couplers. They are available
from February 2009 in boxes of 6 cars with different running numbers.
There is a special pre-sale price of $430 per box of six until Feb
2009, after which the price is $489 per box of six. |

To complement your GN freight train, we
offer a 1940's era X series caboose in a very limited edition of 24.
Made from real wood cladding over a steel frame, they are an essential
part of your consist. Nylon bearings ensure smooth low friction
running. Price is $365, delivery is made to order. |
