Southern Railways 'Battle of Britain" class Pacific loco. Also known as the 'Spam Can', due to its air smoothed casing, the loco was a very popular and widely used engine in Southern England in the post war period. The Aster model has the correct 3 cylinder arrangement. Available in Southern (shown) and BR liveries, in kit or factory built versions.

The New South Wales Garrett is being re-introduced with a very limited run. Length 1044mm, width 98mm, height 136mm and weight 10.83kg. It has four cylinders, 2 axle water pumps, superheater and safety valves. Cab fittings include regulator, blower, water gauge, pressure gauge, whistle, by-pass valve, reverser and blow down valve. The rear tender has a water reservoir with a hand pump.

This is the latest Aster locomotive. It is made to be as prototypical as possible, including four working cylinders. Length 628mm, width 91mm, height 128mm, weight 5.38kg. The boiler is a C-type with 2 tubes and 2 syphon tubes. Superheater. Cab fittings include water sight glass, pressure gauge, reverser, regulator and blower. It has both a tender hand pump and an axle driven water pump. Fuel is alcohol. Minimum turn radius is 6 ft 6 in.
